Anybody need some Cheese?

It is safe to say that we have more than enough to share. If these smiles could be captured and sold we would own the world. They are dangerous. The are breathtaking. They are what makes my whole world spin.

I live for these smiles!!!

On an unrelated note.....Julian had his first Ice Cream Truck experience last Friday. HE LOVED IT!!

Can you tell?

Zoo Day.....

A post is LONG overdue! It has been a crazy few weeks but things are begining to slow down a bit.

Last weekend we even had the chance to visit the Houston Zoo. We has such a blast!

The boys had fund pretending to be Monkeys on the Monkey statue at the zoo.

Julian had a blast on the carousel. He always shows interest but this was the first time that he enjoyed it the whole way through. He had so much fun waving "bye" as he went past.

The petting zoo is always a favorite.

One of Julian's favorite exibits was the Lions. Here he is mid "Lion".

The icing on his cake.....the train ride.

The weather was fabulous......the company was amazing and we are so blessed.

This is how we roll.

Just in case you ever wondered......

We hang out at the park on a regular basis.

We laugh a lot.

We are a tad obsessed with light switches. Well.....some of us more than others.

We eat snacks with our friends.

And gladly receive the love that others have to give.

This is the best kind of life. These are GREAT times.

Easter Recap

I know that I am posting out of order but yesterday's story was too cute not to share!

Easter was so much fun this year. Julian still doesn't get it but he was able to do more things like hunt eggs.......as well as dye them!

Here he is helping Daddy with the eggs.

The finished product.

Come Easter morning the bunny had brought him quite a basket.

Of all the items in there, his favorite by far was the semi truck. We are VERY into trucks these days.

Here he is all dolled up for Easter dinner at the Barzilla's house. He did some swimming, got another basket and played with friends.

If this is a preview of what future Easters will bring.......SIGN ME UP!!!

Channel Your Inner Lassie....

So Julian still sleeps in a crib. He hasn't made any efforts in trying to learn how to climb out of it and we can see his every move on the video monitor. Not to mention the fact that we are perfectly okay with this arrangement. At least for the next six months or so......

Each morning when he wakes he is perfectly content to sit there and play/talk to himself until we come to get him. This period of Julian's personal time lasts anywhere from a 2 to 10 minutes or so. Some days he is more eager for us to go get him and this can happen for a variety of reasons. The most common being the mornings when he has woken up and then gone #2. He has NO want to stay in that soiled diaper......same as any other person who might find themselves in the same situation.

Well this morning was one of those mornings. He woke, did his "business" and started to call. Only this morning his call was different. I can only assume that Lance (our Miniature Pinscher) heard him wake and went to the gate at Julian's door to check on him. Soon enough we hear Julian on the monitor so I turn the video portion on. Julian is standing at the corner closest to the door, staring in that direction and saying "Yance (his version of Lance), Yance" then grabbing himself and saying "Poo Poo". Then it would all start over again...... "Yance, Yance, Yance"......."Poo Poo". This went on for the few minutes it took us to stop laughing and then get up and over to his room.

I am not sure what Julian was expecting. Did he expect Lance to come change his diaper? Did he expect him to channel his inner Lassie and come alert us just as if Timmy were in the well? Either way.....it was for sure one of the cutest things Julian has done to date. This is one for the record books (or baby book if you will).

I had to make some time to snap a couple of pictures of these two tonight. Especially since lately Julian has really been into Lance.....and Lance into Julian.

I just love that my boys love each other.

Lance, going in for the lick.

Julian bending down because it tickles him.

Julian has figured out how to make the licks stop.....well...almost.

Julian on the hunt.......

Today was Julian's last hurrah with the toddler room. Even though he is officially in the Early Preschool room at school he joined his old class for their Easter egg hunt. They were so cute out there! The yard was covered in eggs and the kiddo's had such a great time snatching them up. Julian made out like a bandit with way more candy than he will ever be allowed to have in one day/week/month. Daddy may have to help out in that department.

This weekend will be his second Easter but the first one where he kind of knows what is going on. The next few years worth of holidays are going to be great! I love the wonder and awe in his eyes. I love watching him experience things for the first or second time......because he enjoys each time as if it was his first. I am looking forward a family filled long weekend. Happy Easter!!

The play yard.....ready for the kiddo's

Julian going for his first egg!

Racking them up!

Speaking of hunting......here is Julian on the hunt once again. Here he is hugging his "girlfriend" Hannah. They moved up to the early preschool room together this past week.

It is probably a good thing cause he LOVES her. Obviously!!!!

Not one picture......

Was taken over the weekend of Julian. Not one!! I was busy shooting away....but it was for others. My Muse had to wait. I did manage to get some great shots of my sweet man on the either side of Saturday and Sunday.

Friday night we went to the park. But after getting his fill of the slides and the swings Julian decided to take a detour. He worked his way to the basketball courts where he watched the big boys play. He was in awe. I loved watching him watch them. He wanted to be one of them. It was a painful reminder that I shouldn't blink. He will be one of those big boys before I know it.

At one point they brought him the ball. He was over the moon.

(insert a too short weekend with not enough lens to Julian time here)

Monday night we went to Old town Spring and ate at Wunschie Brothers. At one point a train came by and Julian LOVED watching it. Alternating between "Train" and "Choo-Choo" as it passed. When it was done he kept asking for "More" as this picture shows.

If only Mommy had that kind of power.

Since the train wasn't an option he moved to the front window where he could watch all of the cars passing by. He is such a boy.

Last but not least. I took this one tonight. I call it his Michael Jordan face. He uses it when he is deep in thought.

He is so much fun these days. I am so blessed.
