Bedtime Fun

Just a quick post. Julian has been such a giggle box right before bed. Yesterday he was laughing so hard at us. I got the video camera and captured some. But nothing like he was doing before. He is at such a great age. It is so neat to see his sense of humor come out. Absolutely amazing!

Family of the month!

We found out yesterday that we were chosen to be our childcare's "family of the month" for June. Of course we are delighted! It is good to know that Julian's teachers love us as much as we love them. We feel very blessed to have found a place where the people genuinely care for Julian as if he were family.


For our family of the month profile we needed a family picture. It had been MONTHS since we had one (because I am behind the camera 99% of the time) so I snapped a quick one tonight. Here we are.....the Primrose School of Imperial Oaks family of the month for June 2010! Rocking the hawk this morning before school.

Eventful Weekend

We had a busy, busy weekend. Friday Julian and I went to Sugar Land to meet Julian's new baby cousin (12 day old Khloe). We did an impromptu photo shoot with Nana's new chairs.

On Saturday we got Julian's 1st haircut. After that it was back to Sugar Land to visit with Family and Friends.

Today was errands and catching up around the house. It was a great weekend with my boys. I will sure miss them when I go back to work tomorrow.

Last but not least, one of the best things about this age is Julian's ability to "ape" what we do. In the last few weeks he has learned to blow kisses, say "uh oh" and my personal favorite. The fake sneeze!

I know that I normally don't post twice in one day. I promise this isn't just because I said I was going to make up for last week. We just have so much going on this week! Plus....I am on vacation so that gives me more time.

Mostly I am dropping in to post and tell the world that JULIAN IS OFF!!!! He took his first steps today....with Mommy and Daddy looking on. Thank the lord for healthy babies and good timing!

Surgery Day

This morning was Julian's ear tube surgery. He did GREAT!! At home and eating, playing, sleeping like a champ!!

Spaghetti night

Julian LOVES spaghetti. I do believe it may be his new favorite meal. I think he would it eat until he burst if I let him. Here are a few shots of his "spaghetti face" taken after tonight's dinner.

I figured that I would fill him up good since he won't be able to eat until after surgery tomorrow. For the record....I still think he is the cutest thing EVER!

Mommy and Julian had a great time playing outside today after work/school. This little boy is such a blessing.

As you can see from the video below, Julian is always looking for a challenge. Today it was Diesel's bowl. He had a good time pushing it around the kitchen this evening. And yes.....that is a PERFECTLY good walker you see just sitting there.....untouched....all by itself!

WOW!

I just realized that I went an entire week without posting. NOT COOL!

We were pretty busy last week. Julian contracted some sort of viral rash mid week and ended up with spots all over his little body (totally harmless and they were gone in a few days).

We had our pre-op appointment and Julian is slated to have his ear tubes put in at 7:30 on Thursday morning.

We spent the weekend with family in Dallas. Julian had a great time being loved on. Here are a few pictures form that trip.

Hopefully I can make up for my lack of posts last week with a lot of posts this week.

11 months!

Where has the time gone? I can't believe that we are planning a 1st birthday already. Our sweet little baby boy is officially more boy than baby! We are so blessed.

Cinco De Mayo

Slap my wrist people!

I totally thought I posted on this already!! Bad Momma!!

It has been a BUSY week. Julian had an ENT appointment on May 5th then it was off to dinner at a Mexican restaurant to celebrate Cinco De Mayo.

ENT appointment was okay. They tested his hearing and said that he has a bit of loss due to the fluid but should be back to normal once the ears are clear. He is a good candidate for ear tubes and is now slated to have surgery to put them in on Thursday, May 20th. While we are sad that our little boy is going to have to undergo surgery we know that it is in his best interest as he has been battling these double ear infections since mid March. Hopefully this will be the beginnings of him feeling better.

Dinner was great! Julian LOVES fajitas but his favorite part of the meal is the Charro beans. He could eat a bowl all by himself!

I have been crazy with meetings the last few days so I must not have circled back to create this post (I did in my mind if that counts!). This morning was Muffins With Mom at Julian's daycare and we had a great time!

Hopefully I will have the opportunity to play with my camera this weekend and get more pictures posted. Have a great one!

Friends, Family and War Wounds

We had a good weekend. Play date on Saturday morning followed some time with Friends on Saturday night. Sunday was spent moving furniture all over Houston. I didn't get to play with my camera until Sunday evening....just about the time that Julian decided to get rough with his walker and scratched his face up pretty good. He barely cried (such a tough little guy). Here are a few of the pictures I took on Sunday night.
