Happy Halloween!

What a super busy weekend we had Julian's class costume party at school then it was off to Nana's for the weekend. Saturday was the Hot Air Balloon festival with friends and today was the Zoo and trick or treating. Needless to say Julian (and Mommy and Daddy) is beat!!

I have more pictures of the rest of the weekend but I will save those for one night this week. Since it is Halloween I will keep it strictly so.

Julian dressed as DJ Lance Rock at school. Class picture. Notice the goofball. :)
Having a deep discussion with Malachi.
Going to his first house. I cried. I couldn't believe that my little baby was old enough to go looking for candy. I still get a bit choked up thinking about it. He had a BLAST. He loved going to the doors and was SO PROUD of his pumpkin bucket. The joy this boy brings to our lives (and those around him) is immeasurable. I am blessed.
Checking his loot.
I hope your weekend was as spectacular as ours was. Onto Monday!

Family Time

Just a quickie kind of post. Julian had a fun night spending time with Aunt Carla last night. We played outside, Giggled through dinner, had lots of laughs at bath time and even before bed. She should come visit more often.....she WORE HIM OUT!!

Here is J at dinner. I think he needs a haircut. Looking like Bieber again.
Laughing at Aunt Carla during bath time.
Sweet boy in the bath.
Carla changing a diaper......just couldn't resist getting it on film!
Last but not least....here is my cute boy after his bath.

Today is his school costume parade and this weekend is Halloween so expect a photo bomb of a post early next week.
Stay safe and have fun!

Poopy Weekend

No seriously......POOP EVERYWHERE!! Julian had his first hard core stomach bug. :(
He has had bugs in the past but NOTHING like the one we had this weekend. Our weekend was originally JAM PACKED with stuff to do but once the bug hit (on Friday) all we could do was sit home under large tarps and pray that it went away....and QUICKLY!

Saturday appears to have been the worst of it. Poor Julian woke up an hour early covered from head to toe in Poop. The boys from Jackass would have been proud. It was straight to the shower for him. There was no amount of wipes that could have done that job. His day was spent in either Adrian's or my arms and his eating and sleeping patterns were off as well.

He was pretty miserable for a good portion of the day. (this was outfit # 2 for the day) But he even managed to force a smile here and there. (gotta love our HAPPY boy)
His poor butt got so raw that all we could do during his hourly (yes....hourly) poops was throw him into a nice warm sink bath.
He napped on the couch with Daddy. (outfit #3)
Mid to late afternoon Nana showed up with glow in the dark bracelets which seemed to help turn his mood around. (at this point we had been through 4 outfits and gave up on them altogether)
Thank goodness that by today he was (almost) back to his normal self. Playing, sleeping, eating and throwing tantrums as usual.
Hopefully the bug is on its way out the door! Now only to find the way to explain to him that he will not be getting this sick time spoiling each weekend!! Have a great week!

Picture People

Is what we are this week. I have been pretty snap happy so you get a couple of days in a row (lucky you!). Julian has a bit of a cold (so don't mind his crusties in any of these pictures) but is still in good spirits. I took some shots while we played when we were waiting for Daddy to get home. Enjoy!

His afternoon watching the usual....."Yo Gabba Gabba". I so could not get him to smile......but he is super cute anyway!
Silliest baby EVER!!
This is his "No pictures please" face since he wasn't supposed to be playing on the stairs.
Kisses from Daddy.

Edipant = Elephant

Julian is talking non stop these days. Sometimes they are nonsense but most times they are words. We have been adding words daily. New one's we have heard in the last few days are eye, Airplane (airpane), water (wawa) and and Elephant (Edipant).

He is the cutest thing on two little toddler feet. He is my heart and soul. He has forever been a part of me. Even before I knew he existed, even before I was grown. From the day I took my first breath he was a part of me and now......he sits before my very eyes. Walking and talking and laughing and crying and smiling and hugging and kissing. He is my miracle.....the most perfect thing to ever grace this earth and I am so lucky to be his.

Alright....enough sappiness. Onto the pictures. :)

Julian reading a book before bed tonight.
Julian thinks that Daddy is Funny!
I love this boy SO MUCH!
He sure loves to laugh!

Quiet weekend with the family

There was no travel for us this weekend!! Nana was here for a quick visit (before we took her to the airport) on Friday night and we just hung around the house and enjoyed each other's company the rest of the weekend.

After dropping Nana off we went to the botanical gardens where Julian had a good time running around. He was beat, but still smiling on the way home!

To his list of words Julian has added "airplane" and "water" and he loves hanging out trying to spot both.
Lately he has really been into songs too. He even has begun doing the actions (which is pretty awesome). This is his rendition of the "washed the spider out" line from Itsy Bitsy Spider.
He is also preparing for his rock star status by perfecting the guitar player pose. TOO CUTE!
Last but not least. We were at lunch today and Julian was picking out colors on his lunch menu. Our little monster is too smart for his own good!! This will be a really scary thought when he puts that monster cranium to use in a few years!

It was a good weekend indeed. I am feeling better (the crazy fevers seem to be dying down) in the health department but my back is quite messed up. Still waiting for some blood results and maybe a trip to the chiropractor.

Here is to hoping that I feel 100% soon as life with Julian is TOO MUCH FUN and I don't want to miss a moment!!

Happy ALMOST Halloween!!

As threatened earlier this year....Julian will be DJ Lance Rock from Yo Gabba Gabba for Halloween this year!!! The costume came in today and we couldn't be more excited!! Unfortunately we got home late so you just get a preview (for now). Julian is going to be the cutest DJ Lance Rock EVER!!!

Julian playing in the tub tonight. The costume.
Trying the hat on for size. It is a bit on the small side (unfortunately) because this kid's head is HUGE but it will still fit!
DJ Lance Rock Glasses!
Cutest DJ Lance Rock....EVER!!!

Weekend Round Up (the short and sweet version)

Sorry for keeping this one short and sweet but I wanted to get it up before I head to bed.

We had a wonderful weekend with Hirma in Elgin. We scoped out some wedding stuff and even hit a super small zoo in Bastrop. I am still fighting something, my back is messed up and I think Julian is coming down with his own version so I am about to run to bed to rest up. Here are a couple of pictures taken over the weekend. Enjoy!

Spotting airplanes with Daddy tonight.

Playing in the back yard.

Giggling at Mommy singing silly songs.
Cheesing it up as usual.
Mad at Mommy. LOL.

I sure hope we all are 100% soon! Have a great week everyone!

Fall is in the air!

Which means pumpkin patches and fall illness! The weekend was very uneventful. Beginning Wednesday of last week I was DOWN for the count with some sort of flu. I wiped me out from Wednesday evening through Saturday morning so we opted to hang around the house for the weekend in lieu of the weekend we had planned Sugar Land.

On Sunday we went to a local pumpkin patch to let Julian pick out his pumpkin. He had a good time but it was obvious that he and Daddy were coming down with their own version of some kind of bug. By Sunday night we were in the ER because poor Julian's throat was so swollen that he was having a tough time catching his breath. A negative flu test, positive croup diagnosis and some oral steroids later we were back home and our baby boy was on his way to feeling better. On Monday he and Daddy stayed home ill and he was back to himself and back to school today.

Here is to hoping that we are sickness free for a little while!

Julian picking out his pumpkin.

Running through the pumpkin patch.

I wanted to do a side by side.....here is is this time last year.
Pumpkin patch 2010!!
Seriously.....how big is this boy???
I love him and every cheesy smile he gives.

Happy October Y'all!!
