All my children

Okay.....so I realize that Julian wasn't "technically" my first child........ just the first that doesn't have fur, a tail and four feet. I wasn't prepared to realize that he was going to take after them so much. Yes, he has learned how to growl and it has to be one of the cutest things ever. He and I have growling contests daily now.

Moving on up!!

Our big boy has no need to recline any longer. He is to the point now that he sits up on his own each time we have him in the bouncer or in the infant bath tub. Since that is a bit scary (especially in the tub) we are making some changes. He now eats in the high chair and tonight he used his new tub.....so that he can sit on his own. He had SO much fun splashing in the water. He has been a bit under the weather this weekend.....but it isn't keeping him down.....literally and figuratively!

Eating squash is exhausting!!

Check out my new (bath time) digs......QUACK, QUACK!

Mom.....stop calling my name and let me finish splashing already!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a quiet Thanksgiving. Cooked at the house (had friends over for games and fun) and spent a couple of days with Nana, Aunt Carla and Blake.

We have so much to be thankful for!!

The reason I work

It is just a part of life. You need money to survive. To get that money one must work. I have always said that I don't live to work, I work to live. And never until now did I fully realize exactly what that meant. This is the reason I work. Each day, tired or not, I get up and go to a job (that thank goodness I love) so that I can give him the best life he can imagine. Not a life full of anything he wants, silver spoons and no hard times but a life where he can be loved and cherished beyond imagine and guided to be the good and fair citizen of the world that I imagine him to be.

And the entire time I am gone......all I think of is him (okay.....Adrian makes it in there too. ;) LOL. ). But really.....the moment that I am on my way home, the moment my eyes meet his......that is the best moment of each day.

Would I love to stay at home? Sure! Who wouldn't? But if I did.....would our reunion be as sweet? Every day around 5:30 I am lucky enough to have my heart overflow to a point that even I could never have imagined.

I am blessed.

Here are a few pictures from this evening. Julian doesn't want any part in laying down or sitting in his bouncy chair. This boy wants to SIT! And he is getting better and better at doing it all on his own!

Poor baby boy......his teething is driving him CRAZY!!! This is the most familiar scene in our home these days......fingers in mouth!!

Julian's first boxing match

There is something about the hour or so we get with Julian after a hard day's work that makes my day worthwhile. Maybe it is the special time I get with him while we wait for Daddy to get home or maybe it is the hard core giggles that only Daddy can get out of him. Either way......there is nothing more that I look forward to than the time I get in the early evening with my boys.
Tonight Adrian and Julian decided to hold Julian's first boxing match. Daddy made a worthy opponent but Julian CLEARLY won the fight. If not with punches alone......with giggles. And lots of them!!

Sunday's = New food day!

So....for the last month or so, Julian has been on solids. Each week we start a new food. So far he has had Rice Cereal, Oatmeal, Sweet Potatoes and today it was Green Beans. I must say, by far.....his favorite seems to be the green beans. He ate them up like a champ! It is sure fun watching him make sense of this whole eating thing. We are so lucky to have such a GREAT baby boy!

Here are a few more pictures of him sitting on his own:

Mom.....really??? Enough with the pictures!!
Tonight is the Pats vs. the Colts. We are having some people over to watch the game. Perfect photo opportunity to capture Julian in his jersey! Have a great week!

5 Months Old!!!

Where does the time go??? As of tomorrow Julian is 5 months old! Our little man is growing so fast! He can pretty much sit up on his own (still needs just the slightest bit of support for when he wobbles) and is in the process of cutting his second tooth.

Our weekend was great. Hung out in Sugar Land. Didn't get to go on the balloon ride but we had fun at our company picnic. Julian rode the tire swing with daddy. He also ate his first veggie........sweet potatoes! Here are a few highlights from the weekend.

Long, Busy week

I have to admit that I have been neglecting the blog this week. Julian had his first ear infection plus the time change had him in bed pretty early. This meant very little time with Mom and Dad after work but we made the best of it. We have some exciting plans for this weekend (company picnic and maybe a hot air balloon ride) so we are sure to get some cute shots in.

Here are a few taken today...........to help get you through the weekend.

Julian's 1st Halloween

Julian had a GREAT first Halloween. He endured being placed into a Lobster costume and didn't even start fussing until almost two hours into our trick or treat walk with Christie, Alex & Stephanie. Hirma came to visit for the weekend and got to go trick or treating with us. Today we just hung out around the house and enjoyed a lazy Sunday with our little man.

First bite of Oatmeal (he likes it much better than the rice cereal).

Have a great week!
