Our Growing Boy

Each week I take a picture of Julian in his car seat in hopes that we will be able to look back over time and "see" him grow next t fixed objects. Well, it just happened that this week marked a "milestone" in his car seat relationship. He outgrew all of his "newborn" inserts. Looking back, he has done a lot of growing. See for yourself!

3 days, roughly 8lbs and 201/4 inches.
16 weeks, roughly 16lbs and 26 inches.

"Oktoberfest"

We spent Saturday night at Julian's first "festival". The local rotary club put on an "Oktoberfest" which was technically in September.
A great time was had by all!

Yay for weekends!

We are super excited that it is the weekend. There is nothing like spending some good quality time hanging out with our little man. Last night went to have dinner at a friend's house and took Julian (along with his pack n play) and put him "to bed" there. He did GREAT!! Woke up about 1 (as we were transferring him to his car seat to head home) but went back down without a fight once we were at the house. We are BLESSED with such a great little boy! Next test.....overnight trip!!

Also, I finally got video of Julian rolling all the way over. It is so funny to watch because he is not a fan of tummy time so when he finds himself on his belly he gets mad. I guess he doesn't realize he that he does it to himself. HA!

Julian's First Drum Lesson

Tonight was Julian's first drum lesson. He and Daddy had fun playing with the practice pad. Mommy had fun taking pictures.

Julian Rolled Over!!!

Wow! So here is a little back story......the last few nights Julian has been sleeping mostly on his side (which Daddy and I think is TOTALLY adorable!).

In the last few weeks he has fine tuned the art of rolling onto his side and in the mornings when we wake him he likes to do it for us. This morning in particular he kept doing it over and over again. We take out the camera and of course he gets shy (figures). But we were finally able to get some decent video of him rolling onto his side this afternoon (see below). We were so excited to upload the video and get it online so that we can blog about how cute he is when he rolls onto his side.

Don't you know this afternoon Julian decided to trump us! After teasing and teasing and teasing.....HE ROLLED ALL THE WAY OVER!! Of course I didn't have the camera running (and Daddy was at the grocery store) but we know that this is just one of MANY rolls to come. So we hope to get some video of it up in the future. But for now.......

Well....the last few days have been fairly uneventful (which isn't a bad thing). We have been going to work and Julian to Daycare. His teachers swear that he is the happiest and most easy going baby they have.

Julian has been busy finding his hands and figuring out that he can reach and hold things with them. He has gotten close to rolling over but isn't quite there yet (he has an arm in the way and he cant figure out what to do with it) but we know that it is coming really soon.

Here are a couple of shots taken last night while Adrian and I were hanging out with him before bed.

Monday Night Football

Tonight was the return of Monday night football! And lucky for us that the New England Patriot's (Mom's favorite team) were playing.

Mom was excited about it all day. She was going to show Julian how real fans watch. As you can see we got some great pictures as Julian watched......er.....slept.....through most of the game.

Oh well......I guess he can learn on the first Sunday afternoon game!

Three Months Old!!

I can't believe that Julian is three months old today! I swear that I just found out I was pregnant last Tuesday (and by last Tuesday I mean that I was actually pregnant this time last year).

Julian is growing so much every day (he was 15.1lbs this week!). His favorite things to do are smile, talk & giggle at those he loves and to spin his head around checking out his world. What a joy he has been. Can't wait to see what the future has in store for our little man.

Labor Day Weekend

Yay to extended weekends! On Sunday Adrian and I played with my camera some more. Then thanks to Labor Day we were able to make it to Sugar Land. Monday was spent going to Nana's house, then to Lalaine's house for a B-B-Q with high school friends then over to Tom & Nancy's for dinner.

There is nothing like a three day weekend surrounded by family and friends!

ROCKSTAR BABY!!

As you know.....I have a cool new camera. And this weekend Ronnie, Hirma and Natalie came to visit and they brought Julian his first ever Dimebag Darell shirt......okay....it was a onesie........but, it was super cute and kinda matched one of Adrian's. So......let the photographing commence!!

Because I loved it so much. This was taken just before we put Julian to bed tonight. He is cute. I think we are going to keep him!

Back to work

So.....it has been a super long week (and it is only Tuesday!). I started working again yesterday. Feels like 100 years since I was home with my baby boy. He seems to be loving daycare so far. Eating and sleeping good, as usual.

I do believe that what makes me sad (aside from being away from him to begin with) is that I just don't have that many opportunities to take pictures of him during the week.
