Julian Smash!!!

We had another fairly laid back weekend. On Friday and Saturday Aunt Carla was here visiting and Julian had a great time playing and giggling with her. Saturday Morning (while Aunt Carla slept in) we took Julian to a neighborhood park to do a cake smash session. Saturday afternoon we went to a park to play then it was out to dinner. Today it was grocery store in the AM, friend's over for a BBQ in the PM and just hanging around the house the rest of the day.

Julian has a new favorite toy.....Daddy's drumsticks!! Future drummer on our hands.....maybe?!?! One of what will hopefully be some decent 1 year pictures. CHEESE!

Julian had such a great time beating this cake into submission.......I sure hope he doesn't think that cakes every Saturday is the new way to live!

Onto the week we go. Hopefully it goes by quickly.....since we have a three day weekend coming up!

12 Month Check-Up

Julian had his 12 Month Check-Up today. He is 24 lb and 4oz and 31 and 1/2 inches long. Doctor says that he is one healthy, tall little boy. He got three shots and took them like a champ (he whined for a minute or so but didn't even shed a tear!). We are now in the process of transitioning from formula to whole milk and from bottles in the AM/PM to all sippy cups all the time.

I can't believe that my baby is now a little boy. It is amazing to see them growing right before your very eyes. Today as I took some pictures I could really see that he is more boy than baby these days.

What a great year it has been! I love my life!!

Yo Gabba Gabba

As you may or may not know....Julian is a wee bit obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba.


We really don't let him watch much TV but when Mom needs 15 minutes to get dinner started and doesn't want to worry about what her toddler is getting into Nick Jr on demand is a must.


As you can see.....he is a JUNKIE.






Adrian and I have even joked about dressing him up as DJ Lance Rock for Halloween. Well....we aren't really joking so much. Only time will tell......

Father's Day Weekend

We had a fantastic Father's Day weekend which mostly consisted of us hanging around the house. On Saturday we spent the afternoon at the pool where Julian had a great time playing in the water. Sunday began in quite the eventful way when Adrian PROPOSED to me and we spent the remainder of the day lounging at the house.

What a fantastic weekend. Quality time for giggles, and hugs, and tickles and playing and kisses and love. It was amazing. I wish we had more time for days like these.

I am so blessed to have my healthy, beautiful child and a wonderful partner whom I soon will call husband. God is good!

Donuts with Dad

This morning was Donuts with Dad at Julian's school. As you can see Julian and Adrian had a great time hanging out and taking part in the meal. Julian thought donuts were YUMMY! The visit was great but he was super upset when it was time for us to leave for work. Good thing it was a Friday so we can spend quality time together this weekend!

Vacation

We have been on Vacation (by "we" I mean Julian and I). We were spending quality time with Tio Jacobo. Unfortunately this meant that my camera sat still while we ran around and played. Here are some of the few pictures I took in the last week.

Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!

Well....I was super busy with birthday boy preparations last week.

The big day was Thursday. The party was Saturday and we had a FANTASTIC weekend with family and friends. It was really nice having all of the grandparents in town. Kind of makes me wish that they all lived closer and got the opportunity to love on Julian more. I know he really enjoyed his time with them.

I thought that I would make up for my lack of posts with one picture happy post. Enjoy!

Party Time!

Julian did REALLY well at his party when we sang Happy Birthday. He waved his arms and smiled so big. Which was GREAT because all he did when we sang it to him this past week was cry.

Last but not least, I put together a video slide show for Julian's first year. Happy Birthday baby boy. What a blessing you are. The last year has been the most exciting and love filled of all our lives. We have you to thank for that. Here is to MANY more. LOVE YOU!!

Slacker!!!

So....I have been slacking. We enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend with Adrian's family in Elgin. Julian spent his first days in the pool and he LOVED it!!

It was nice to get back but we were so busy catching up that I never even picked up my camera this week!
