Bath Time

It had been a while since I took some good bath pictures so I took the opportunity to snap a few tonight. Julian had a great time bathing.....as usual. I swear....that boy is half fish!

Julian's First Word

We are officially calling "Bye, Bye" Julian's first word(s). Although he says Momma and Dadda quite a bit we are pretty certain that he has no idea the meaning. Bye, bye on the other hand....he has DOWN! The wave and all. I took a quick video tonight. He was kind of distracted so it isn't the best but you get the point! I will try to get a better one soon.

I have also attached some pictures from a festival we went to a couple of weekends ago. Good times with our baby boy!!

Weekend with Grandma

It was an eventful uneventful weekend for Julian. Grandma came to visit and that is always tons of fun. The weather was BEAUTIFUL so on Saturday we took advantage and walked to play at the park. Sunday we spent a few hours at the crawfish festival with friends. Good times!!

Children's Museum

Since we already had Julian out of daycare for the nasty virus going around (no signs of it here yet!!) we decided to take a day ourselves and enjoy the Children's museum.

I think it safe to say that Julian had a BLAST!! But you take a look and decide for yourself.

I thought that days playing "hookie" in my school years were the best. Turns the days spent taking Julian out of school and playing "hookie" myself would come to mean so much more. Here is hoping to good grades so that we can have these days when he actually hits real school.

Hand Foot and Mouth....

When I got to daycare to pick Julian up yesterday I found out that two of the 8 kids in his class were sent home with Hand, Foot and Mouth virus. Apparently it is a contagious virus that causes a fever and then blisters on the (you guessed it) hands, feet and mouth. The blisters last about a week and can be quite painful. After a quick discussion with my boss and Adrian we decided that it was best to keep Julian home for the next couple of days in hopes that he doesn't get the virus (he was there Monday with the kids). So now we just hang out and wait (incubation period is 3-7 days). So far so good.

Julian had a great time at home with Momma and I had a fantastic time taking pictures of him as he played. Here are my favorites from today.

Julian's Favorite Things

Well....on this day any way. Here are a few of Julian's favorite things to do these days.


Julian has figured out that Diesel's dog bed is super comfy. It is a struggle to keep him out of it. He even wants to use it for nap time.
He LOVES the Elvis Hound Dog that Aunt Carla gifted him.
A new favorite thing to do is push his baby jail around.
And of course walking all over with his walker.

Look Ma....No Hands!

As you all know...Julian is EVERYWHERE these days! He is getting closer and closer to walking (scary!!) and is talking up a storm.

This weeks new development is his ability to stand without holding onto anything. If he is distracted (Yo Gaba Gaba usually does the trick) he will stand on his own for up to a minute or so. He is also starting to talk up a storm. Nobody knows what he is saying (he can say bye bye and Momma and the occasional Dada) and we aren't sure if he knows what anything means (most of it is just jibberish anyway) but he sure is fun to listen to.

10 Months Old!

Our boy just keeps growing and growing!

Saturday he turned 10 months old! What an delightful 10 months it has been.

We had a super busy weekend and didn't really have time to celebrate. Saturday morning Julian had a play date at The Children's museum. Saturday afternoon it was a (5Th) birthday party for a friend's son and Saturday night was date night for Mommy and Daddy while Julian went to parent's night out at school.

This morning Julian woke up and had cut his 6Th tooth! We had lunch with Nana and Julian spent some quality time with her while we worked on the yard.

It was a busy weekend but life with our little man is so much fun! I can't believe that it has been 10 months and that I am planning a 1st birthday party already. Where has the time (and my newborn) gone?!?!?!?

It's a good thing.....

That I posted so much over the weekend because this week has been NUTS!!! I haven't had any quality time with my camera so today I took all of about 15 minutes to snap a few quick photos. Julian was busy playing with the grass and everything else and refused to look up at the camera. But I managed to get a few good shots in anyway.

On another note. He had his recheck for his ears today and it appears that they are both still inflamed. So it is onto our third antibiotic starting tomorrow. Good news is that they are getting better but the Dr. wants to see them gone. He has been sleeping better at night so we know that they aren't botherin him as much as they were. Next recheck is three weeks from today. Here is to hoping that the doc says they are all clear!

Sunday....Fun Day!

Julian's first Easter was fantastic! We went to church this morning (he had a GREAT time in the nursery) then we ate lunch with the neighbors. Julian took some spins on his new walk behind toy midday and he was pooped by the time bed time came around.

That a blessing from above we have in this bouncing, smiling, laughing, learning, happy baby boy.

God is good!

Happy Easter!

Just a quick late night/early morning post. We went to a local park today to take some Bluebonnet shots. I broke my 50 mm lens before we even got started (going to go get another this weekend) but the pictures I got with my kit lens were great!

Julian wasn't a big fan of the grass and flowers at first but he warmed up to them. The best part about it....he was too scared to try to crawl in it! Reminded me of the days that he couldn't. Ha!

I hope everyone has a fantastic Easter weekend. Julian is proof that God is GREAT!
